Product Introduction

• The GBW concentrated sulfuric acid pump is optimized and designed based on the performance parameters of the IS centrifugal pump, using specialized cast iron and carbon steel materials for concentrated sulfuric acid and excellent hydraulic models. It is an ideal new generation chemical pump.

Selection criteria

Special steel is widely used in 80-100% sulfuric acid, with temperatures reaching 60-80 ℃. Steel in this concentration and temperature range of sulfuric acid can produce a protective iron sulfate film layer on its surface. Cast iron is not suitable for more than 100% fuming sulfuric acid, possibly due to the reaction between sulfur trioxide and the silicon contained in iron, which makes the cast iron brittle. Carbon steel is not suitable for 100-102% fuming sulfuric acid, and is suitable for acids exceeding 102%. The temperature limit is about 60 ℃. The corrosion of steel by dilute sulfuric acid is significant, and the corrosion rate reaches its highest value when the acid concentration is around 47%. When the acid concentration exceeds 65%, the corrosion rate of steel significantly decreases. But in the concentration range of 65-80%, it is better not to use steel, and it is safer to use lead or other acid resistant materials.

Sulfuric acid concentration: 80% to 98%, special cast iron usage temperature: 25 ℃ to 50 ℃.

precautions

• Mechanical seals are strictly prohibited from working under dry grinding conditions.
• Open the inlet valve to fill the entire pump chamber with liquid.
• Check if the temperature rise at the motor and bearing is ≤ 70 ℃, and if any abnormalities are found, take appropriate measures.
• Regulating valves should be installed on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump to control its operation within the rated operating conditions.
• Before installation, carefully check whether there are any hard objects in the flow channel of the pump body to avoid damaging the impeller and pump body during operation.
• Connect the power supply, gradually open the valve on the discharge pipeline when the pump reaches normal speed, and adjust it to the desired working condition.
